Heather Wardle combines decades of experience of fundraising, publishing and journalism together with a passion to help change the world.

Heather is committed to innovation and the best practices of fundraising and has her professional qualification as a Certified Fund Raising Executive. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Fundraising Professionals in Vancouver, BC and is Chair of the Sponsorship and Mentorship Committee of AFP. Heather worked for many years as the Development Director for Seva Canada, an international eye care charity working in 9 of the world’s poorest regions and she was also the Provincial Administrator for UNICEF Saskatchewan.

Prior to becoming a professional fundraiser, Heather had over 20 years experience in book publishing, editing and journalism. She has worked for Collins Publishers in the UK and Raincoast Books and New Society Publishers in Canada.

Heather has travelled extensively in the developing world and lived and worked as a full-time journalist in northern India for 15 months, reporting on human rights and the environment.
